Crazy Week!!

This week has been a crazy week. It's the start of fight week for many of my teammates. I have nearly 10 teammates who will be fighting in the span of 2 weeks including myself.

This week my friend Cassandra Poyong took the gold in the Abu Dhabi World Championships Masters Division (This is BJJ btw). Then, it was our wrestling coach, Mahdi Bagheri who was suppose to fight in the ONE Warrior Series show, but his opponent had a last minute pull out due to medical reasons. It meant that sadly, he didn't get the fight he was training for.

More on the sad note, my teammate Zaim Zain, was suppose to have a Muay Thai fight in Singapore, on the 4th of May but due to an injury to his eye, he had to pull out 1 week before his fight :(

My brother, Nicholas also had to pull out of his Muay Thai fight on the 27th April, in the MFC event due to an accident on his bike. Praise the Lord he's okay, just scraped up tiny bit badly. *sigh* He's been looking forward to this..

I pray on the final sad part of this story, one of my closest friends, Shem Rock, couldn't make it to his fight, which was suppose to be on the 27th of April, Cova Manila, Philippines, due to a visa issue. I've seen him train hard and prepare for this fight so much with a 12 week camp, but sometimes things happen.

So today, I look forward to my friends fighting this weekend. My teammates, Lance Siah and Ashley Goh will be fighting amateur MMA at the MFC event, which I am super excited for! This will be Ashley's first MMA fight!! One of my teammates, Mostafa Radi will also be fighting Professional MMA on the same card as well!

All the way in Penang, my teammates Hussain Jan Turi & Terenz Tan will be fighting in an amateur MMA Tournament named "Octagon MMA" for the belt!! Exciting!!

On Sunday, Dayenne will be fighting kickboxing on this event called AMA 8 and Nizam Jeoffrey will be making his pro Muay Thai at the "Youth International Fight Night 2019" on the same night!!

The following week, Brandon and I will. be fighting in the IMMAF - WMMA Asian Open Tournament, which is an amateur MMA tournament. I am completely excited for it!!

And lastly, I'm surprised I can say this, but my teammate, Keanu Subba will be fighting in ONE Championship on the Jakarta card on the 3rd of May.

It truly is an exciting 2 weeks for Monarchy MMA Gym!

And this weekend will be a busy weekend for me as I have multiple events to attend besides the fights and still train. I will also be conducting a Charity Fitness Class with one of my old bootcamp coaches, Raj Ahmed @ Rawsome, to raise funds for EPIC Homes. They raise funds to build homes for those in need.

Well, a long weekend awaits me. Time for me get my head down. Zzzz
