It was my first day in Bangkok. I had just landed with my teammate, Brandon Tang. As we exited the airport, we were discussing the best way to head to the Ambassador Hotel to check in & register ourselves for the IMMAF - WMMA Asian Open. In the end, we decided a grab would be the most efficient way.

As we got there, we saw people from various countries scattered around the lobby. We saw a big team from Kazakhstan, China & Bahrain. It reminded me when I was at the Spartan World Championships @ Lake Tahoe. It was exciting!!

We got ourselves checked in & proceeded to get ourselves registered with the help of the President of MASMMA, Rashid Salleh. We got our equipment size checked, and even did a mini photoshoot in our fight gear.

After everything was over, Brandon, Amirah & I decided to get an early dinner, as we hadn't eaten yet.

We went to a place called "Sustaina Organic Restaurant" as Brandon & Amirah were watching their weight for the weigh-ins the following morning. After that, we went back to the hotel to rest up while we waited for Professor Bruno to arrive at his hotel.

Shortly after Professor arrived at his hotel, he came to our hotel as Brandon and I wanted to work some drills before going to sleep. We went up to the rooftop where the cage was set, and went into the cage to get accustomed to the feeling of the cage.

Professor made me work some shadow boxing & ground drills until he said was enough. After, we went back to our rooms to get ready for 1st Day of fights.

As I had only 3 people in my category, I would only be fighting on the 2nd Day of the event and I had to fight 2 fights to get to the gold. Game. Set. Match.

That night I slept soundly as I was exhausted from the travel. Zzzzz...

XO Colleen
